Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s son Maximilian has been selected to represent Sweden at the youth level for the first time.
The centre-forward signed his first professional contract with AC Milan this summer. Ibrahimovic senior will end his career at Milan in June 2023, aged 41.
“He had a good start in the Primavera. It’s a good opportunity for us to see him in our environment,” coach Andreas Petterson told newspaper Expressen, as quoted by AFP.
Sweden’s youth team will play two games, against Japan and the United States in Spain, next week.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to AC Milan to take up an advisory role in the Serie A club’s management at the end of 2023.
