Former AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who now serves as a club consultant, talks about future projects to restore the Rossoneri’s reputation as a top European team.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic played for AC Milan in two different periods while he was still an active player. He first arrived at San Siro in the summer of 2010, then left for PSG two years later.
Ibra then played his second period with Milan, which was also the last team he played for as a player. The former Swedish star arrived in 2020 and retired in 2023.

The togetherness between Milan and Ibra continued when he was appointed as a club consultant. Having the same vision made Ibrahimovic not hesitate to taste his first experience behind the scenes at Milan.
“I believe in this project, I believe in what Milan represents and I think I share the same vision as the people who work here,” said Ibra as reported by Football Italia.
Ibra then explained further about the future project that is currently being carried out by Il Diavolo Rosso. According to Ibra, Milan has the ambition to write a golden ink in the world of football, but this will not be achieved instantly.
“The ambition is to make history, which means winning trophies, and historically Milan have won many trophies. This is also a work in progress, many things need to be put into place and we have to trust the process. The team works under different conditions,” said Ibra.
“It started with the Milan Futuro squad that was launched this season, part of our academy. The team believes in them and wants to give these young players the opportunity to play professional football in Serie C, which is a big challenge,” he added.
“Of course, the heart of our work is the first team, so all our resources are dedicated to them. If you don’t win, you don’t get the reward for that effort. So far. The results are lacking, but there are a lot of changes at the club as well. So it takes time to sort all that out.”
