Ibrahimovic Officially Returns to AC Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic officially returns to AC Milan. Not as a player, he serves as a senior advisor.
In a report by Football Italia, Monday (11/12), the certainty of Ibrahimovic returning to AC Milan was conveyed by RedBird Capital. The former Swedish national team captain has taken up his new position to be directly responsible to the club owner.

“RedBird Capital Partners today announced an agreement with Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a partner with experience in sports, media, and entertainment. In this capacity, he will serve as a senior advisor to the AC Milan owners and management,” wrote the official statement.

Responding to his return to AC Milan, Ibrahimovic expressed his enthusiasm. His love for the Rossoneri was the reason Ibrahimovic accepted this job offer.

“I am very happy to be joining RedBird and AC Milan in this important position. RedBird has worked with some of the world’s greatest athletes, teams, and businesspeople to make an impact,” said Ibrahimovic.

“I look forward to contributing to their investment activities in the sports, media and entertainment sectors. My love for the Rossoneri will never die, and seeing the opportunity to be in the future of this team is something I dream of,” he added.
The certainty of Ibrahimovic returning to Milan also ends the rumors that he will return to wearing the Rossoneri uniform after deciding to retire in mid-2023.

With AC Milan, Ibrahimovic scored 93 goals from 163 matches in two periods. He wore the AC Milan uniform from 2010 to 2012 then returned again in 2019 and stayed until 2023.
